We will stay in cabins used by atheletes in Mexico who are training at altitude.
After Malinche we will head to Iztaccihuatl. The broad ridged peak is the seventh highest peak in North America. We will make oure way along the ridges false summits until we reach the "knees" summit via the Arista del Sol route.
Moving on from Izta we take a rest day exploring the markets of Puebla and visit the Cholula Pyramid. Now we head towards our big goal Orizaba, with a 12 mile 4wd ride to base camp at the Piedra Grande Hut at 14,000 feet. The climb of Orizaba goes up moderately steep slopes on the Jamapa Glacier.
